Glen Watkinson

HE/HIM

MDiv | RP | Clinical Supervisor

Hi, I’m Glen.

You might be here because you're carrying something heavy—maybe something that happened to you, something you can't stop feeling, or a sense of having lost touch with yourself. You might be feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, stuck in old patterns you can't seem to break, or exhausted from holding it all together on your own. Whatever has brought you here, it is welcome with me. I want you to have a space where it's safe enough to be your honest self without risking accompaniment.

How I Can Help

After working together, clients have described becoming reacquainted with a genuine sense of calm, openness, peace, clarity, renewed hope, less defensiveness, healthier relationships, a renewed relationship to experiences of suffering, and newfound resolve to embrace life with courage and gratitude.

I’d like you to know that regardless of the way you feel now—regardless of what has happened to you and the symptoms that rob you of your vitality, and however deep, dark, jagged, and alone the trauma keeps you—it is possible to feel good again. We are wired to feel better than “fine.”

What It's Like to Work With Me

Clients have described me as warm, genuine, respectful, focused, and present. I hold a clinical stance that seeks to undo aloneness and discover the truth—through compassion, curiosity, anti-oppression, depathologization, and at times protection and fierce love. I believe that vitality and flourishing are always possible in some form, and that you deserve to be accompanied into your natural ability to heal and recover. When we are together, you can expect a balance of care, learning, collaboration, emotional metabolization, skill building, and supportive challenge, all in service of your goals.

My Approach

I work from an integrative systems perspective, while privileging psychodynamically focused, relational, somatic, experiential, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approaches. This means we won't just talk about your experience—we’ll work to metabolize it, together, in real time. Fundamentally, I insist on evidence-based models. My clinical home is AEDP—a powerful modality for transforming suffering into aliveness, while I also integrate and rely on models including EFT, IFS, RLT, Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, Sociocultural Attunement, and CBT.

A Little About Me

Outside of the office, I enjoy making music, cooking, playing sports, mindfulness practices, writing, a good cup of tea, and celebrating life with family and friends.
