She enjoys working collaboratively with children, caregivers, adolescents, and young adults struggling with mental health concerns and other challenges encountered in everyday life. Areas of particular interest to Camille include obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety, phobias, depression, and emotion regulation. Camille has a warm and curious approach that seeks to nurture the unique strengths of those with whom she works.
Camille completed her Bachelor’s of Applied Sciences in Human Behaviour and Master of Science in Psychotherapy at McMaster University. Camille’s education and training focused on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. During her training at St. Joseph’s Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic, she worked with individuals and groups experiencing social anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and transdiagnostic anxiety-mood disorders.
Prior to Camille’s graduate studies, she worked with youth facing houselessness and substance-related challenges, volunteered with Child Life staff at McMaster Hospital in the paediatric inpatient, oncology, and eating disorders units, and assisted with research at the Offord Centre for Child Studies and Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic. In addition to her work at VCC, Camille also holds a position at the Hamilton Family Health Team providing mental health support to children and young adults in the community.
Continued Professional Development:
Dedicated to continued learning and professional growth, Camille actively engages in ongoing supervision and training opportunities. In addition to her training in CBT, she has sought to refine her clinical skills through training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and child and family therapies. Camille’s integrative approach allows her to tailor treatment to the unique needs of those she supports.
