SHE/HER

BA | CYC | MSW | RSW

You might be here because... well, it could be anything! Whether you’re stuck, exhausted, overwhelmed, and tangled up in the many tensions of how hard it is to be human. Or whether you’re simply seeking to better understand yourself and your story. You don’t have to do it alone.

How I Can Help

Imagine your current struggle as being lost in the woods - I like to think of myself as a guide. I’m pretty comfortable in the woods, and whether we are trying to find a way out, or how you may have gotten there in the first place, my hope is to come alongside to help you feel safe, supported, and to learn the tools necessary to navigate along the way.

What It's Like to Work With Me

My hope is that folks who work with me would feel comfortable and cared for, however they show up; in addition to seeking to help you I would also like to know you. I don’t work from one particular modality or framework, but rather like to imagine my professional experience and training as a broad and busy bookshelf, from which I can pull out what the session or moment may need. Sometimes sessions might involve laughter and silliness, sometimes we might hold space for silence. Sometimes I will provide art supplies, or guided imagery activities, or breath and body work practice. The shape of the service can shift according to each unique individual’s needs and interests.

Areas of Focus

  • Mood Difficulties

  • Anxiety

  • Life Transitions

  • Spirituality and Religious Trauma*

  • 2SLGBTQIA+ Exploration

  • Identity and Self-Understanding

  • Stress and Burnout

  • Self-Esteem and Awareness

* I was raised in christian church spaces and communities. While I am no longer participating in organized religion, I am comfortable and experienced with supporting those for whom religion and spirituality are important, as well as those who have experienced harm in such spaces and are seeking support with healing and recovery.

My Approach

My hope and intention are that the foundations of my practice are person-centered, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive. My approach is highly relational and integrates modalities including but not limited to CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, IFS-informed practices, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CPT, Somatics, Expressive Arts, and Psychoeducation. I am passionate about seeking and speaking the truth, and I find deep meaning in how this compliments the therapeutic process. I consider you the expert of your own story, and I will be alongside you all the way with curiosity, creativity, and compassion.

A Little About Me

I am a queer white settler, and I am learning a humble practice of being intentional and accountable to how power and privilege shape my social location, and therefore my engagement as a Social Worker and Therapist.

When I am not in the office I like to adventure by woods or water, be it on foot or a bicycle or by paddle. I can often be found cheering on a sports team, or hanging in my hammock with a crossword puzzle. I love to laugh loudly.
